Australian Cowboy is a film about rodeos in Australia -- the bucking horses, trick riding, steer wrestling, bull rides and rodeo clowns, whose job it is to make sure noone gets seriously hurt.
And most of all it is about Dave Appleton the world all-round champion cowboy, an Australian now living in America.
In slow-motion using stretch-printed film, every action of horse and rider is seen in three of Dave Appleton's match rides.
Australian Cowboy has a complex sound track having been mixed from nine sources and incorporating an outback sound montage.
Some sounds were created specifically for the film and although synthesised give a perspective that is real.
Because of this, the film has been shown and understood by people in many different countries of the world.
