'ISLAND CROSS'
Synopsis
Directed and Produced by Andrew Vial.
Some goldfish, an extraordinary pianist and singer, a tropical island in
the Persian Gulf, and a historic first-ever International Film Festival for the region. Movie stars, glitz, glamour, and harmony, making a beautiful picture.
Explanation
The Kish International Film Festival was set up as an important event to showcase and promote especially films from the Middle East, Asia, Africa and India.

As an invitee I saw the significance of this and decided to make a very experimental film about it, using the interaction and comparison of some brilliant musicians who were performing at the Grand Dariush Hotel venue with a pair of exotic goldfish.

Also incorporated into the theme were the references to the movies shown, the archeological and architectural heritage of the region such as the Underground City on Kish Island and the Persian Gulf culture.

Technically I was also expanding the barriers of filmmaking in a totally digital way.
